BIOGRAPHY
As they put in their own words - “I will speak evil to thee - contort my heart and body, and let violence move through me, unfettered, untethered, uncontrollably, inconsolably,” this HOLY rodeo! is a group of very well-adjusted conmen creating performance art music from New York City. With Mario Marques on bass, Chris Harth on vocals, Sami Habib on guitar, and Gaetano Lardieri on drums, the rodeo exists as business venture of Lockheed Martin and Exxon-Mobil as an attempt to infiltrate the world of independent music with the first ever FULLY DEPENDENT corporate band. Sporting multifaceted live shows that have been described by Beyond the Stage magazine as “...electric and eccentric…”, they vary wildly in structure and method, some involving chapter-like title cards and paranormal possessions, others with pseudo-sermons and psychotic audience interplay. Their music has been described as “...What the fuck?...the most unique track we’ve heard all year,” by Havoc Underground, “Bursting with creative rock flair…” by Obscure Sound, and like a "...light speed.... doomscrolling session".
Currently, they are sporting a new single in “THIEVES!”, a dense track of glitchy jazz-punk mathisms, sardonic lyricism, anthemic vocal harmonies, and enough drum syncopation to please. They are currently considering selling themselves to a private contract mercenary group as they have run up debts in the 7 digit range.
